Alternative rock with a cinematic heartbeat.

A solo artist with a full-band sound, Poperratic combines timeless melodic sensibilities with a penchant for pushing boundaries. Raw rock energy meets storytelling with depth and emotional gravity. The result is music that's frequently unpredictable, intense, and deeply personal.

Introduction

Poperratic is the alternative rock band of Jammes Luckett—a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and multi-disciplinary producer, known for emotionally raw songwriting and cinematic storytelling across genres.

Founded in 1993 as Alien Tempo Experiment 13 (ATE 13), Poperratic was born in the L.A. underground with a series of lo-fi cassette releases. Its commercial debut, a 7" vinyl EP, "Live! From the Roller Derby!" was released by Glimmerfed Records NYC and co-produced by Don Fleming (Sonic Youth, Hole, Shonen Knife).

Its signature sound is built on contrasts: sweet and sharp, heavy and melodic, intimate and explosive. Luckett's distinct sounds have led to placements in film, television, and advertising, including original scores and songs for major productions from Sony/MGM, Lionsgate, Showtime, Bravo, MTV and FX, Stella Artois, and Robert Downey Jr's Random Act Funding.

Luckett currently issues Poperratic and other solo project releases through her independent creative studio and imprint, Art Mechanix.

Poperratic is currently revisiting its early catalogue with a series of remastered reissues, alongside the development and release of new material. The goal is to preserve the analogue grit and spirit of the early ATE 13 era while utilizing advancements in production to reveal and showcase its true sound and quality songwriting in ways that were not previously possible.
